Confidentiality & Privacy Policy: We take your privacy seriously and work in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations 2018. Confidentiality is an essential aspect of counselling. It contributes greatly to the client’s sense of safety and is one of the things that make the therapeutic relationship different from any other. Counselling encourages clients to be as open and honest about themselves as possible and inevitably involves clients discussing personal experiences and sensitive information with their therapist. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that the client can trust that what they are disclosing about themselves will remain confidential.

Cancellation and missed session policy: The required notice for cancellation is 48 hours. Where there is less notice of cancellation or if you do not attend your appointment you may be charged the full fee.

Contact between sessions: In instances where you need to contact me between sessions, calls can be made to 07468 435779. If I am unable to take your call, please leave a message and I will respond ASAP within normal operating hours. If you are in crisis and need to speak to someone immediately, please contact Samaritans 24h a day on 116123, call 999 or go to your nearest Accident & Emergency Department (A&E).

The counselling sessions that we will have together cannot be recorded without mutual consent.

In the event of you being unhappy with the service you receive, please discuss this with me. If you feel unable to do so or do not receive satisfactory resolution, then you have the right to complain to my professional body, BACP at www.bacp.co.uk or NCPS at https://ncps.com/
